The People’s Democratic Party, PDP House of representatives candidate for Abeokuta South Federal Constituency at the lower Chambers of the National Assembly, Chief Toyin Amuzu, TA, has appealed to renegades working against the interest of the party to allow peace to reign and join hands with the PDP for a victorious 2023.

Amuzu urged the renegades to put the plights their constituency at heart and the need to be rescue them from the clutches of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC which has allegedly infested the country with poverty, insecurity and joblessness, among other ills.

Chief Amuzu who stated this in Abeokuta, while reacting to the Court of appeal judgement in Ibadan which affirmed his candidacy as the authentic candidate of the PDP and struck out Mr Akeem Amosun’s case for lack of merit declared that nobody won or lost as it was a ‘no Victor no Vanquish’ situation.

He appealed to Mr Akeem Amosun and all other genuine PDP members who are angry for one reason or the other to sheath their swords and embrace peace, as he is again putting forward his hands of fellowship as done at several times.

Chief Amuzu said, “this is a time our people needs us more and the PDP must not disappoint. We need to work together and put right people that are passionate about doing good in positions of authority. It should not be about sentiment, but the will to want to change the tide and improve our society for the good of all”.

According to him, “if it is to serve the people and there is no ulterior motive, we should put the people first in all our actions and consider their pains at this time and the need to save them from more hardship. As we know, it is only God that gives position to people at his chosen time”, Amuzu said.

” Akeem Amosun is my brother, politics aside. We would continue to appeal to them as we are committed to good governance and great impacts of change. We are prepared and capable, this you can see in our actions even without office or positions. We won’t relent to give succour to our people. As you know our focus is about creating a new life of opportunities to ensure we all rise together.”
