Incidentally, that day would mark the eighth month the industrial action started.
The developments , it was gathered, are as a result of the intervention of speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, in the matter after the Court of Appeal last Friday gave the union seven days to comply with the ruling of the National Industrial Court in Abuja, that it should call off the action before further entertainment of the matter between it and the FG would continue.
Amuzu while congratulating the students across the country, also saluted the leadership acumen of Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila for his intervention to the lingering industrial strike by the ASUU which successfully ended with suspension of the strike after eight months.
He noted the education is very paramount and every serious government should never toy with the future of the upcoming generations through delay in their studies, he implored the federal government through education ministry to meet up with the demands of the lecturers to avoid future occurrence.
